But I promised myself a complete chronicle of the plague time, so here it is today's report. I basically didn't do anything today, save for a bit of inevitable housework and a half-arsed attempt to rearrange the right side of the little cabinet over my desk. I'm not happy with the results. A new concept must be worked out, but I have none at the moment. Ah, well.

In the morning we had relatively pleasant temperatures, so that we actually could leave the windows open until a little beyond noon, before the heat wave hit again. I called H. as Little Emma had turned 2 yesterday. It makes me sad that I couldn't get her birthday present - the quiet book on which I had worked for months - to her in time, but I really couldn't go over to them. They live outside the city, in a village, and I have no car. With tram and a coach it takes an hour and a half to get there, and the same to get back, and I just can't leave Mum alone for half a day - not to mention the exposure. I'm not sure the virus got the memo that it's been beaten...

Seeing how many people were in the stadium in Budapest today, I'm sure the virus will spread happily. 😕

You have worked so long and hard on Emma's book, this is sad indeed that you weren't able to give it to her! As for the corona diary- it gets harder in the times of summer, when Corona is more an annoyance than a threat, but you are right, soccer event may have done its bit to worsen the situation.

"I'm not sure the virus got the memo that it's been beaten..." I know it shouldn't...but this made me smile.
In the UK, we started inoculations with the oldest people. Now we have an increase in cases...but amongst the younger population.

And the football championship doesn't help things, I guess.

I have the uncomfortable feeling that Corona is a lot more of a threat than people would like to admit. *sigh*

The vaccination is the problem! DiL works in a hospital and got her antibodies tested. Antibodies? She had none. T-cells alone won't do all the work. So she needs a booster shot. Btw, she had her second shot early in February.
