Especially when you have to do the weekly laundry on this day. But at least the heat means the washing dries in record time. *g*

I was also crafty in the morning hours, when it wasn't quite that hot yet.
Here are Pages 22-23:

I also worked on Pages 24 and 25 in the afternoon, but they need some more prettying up yet. So, more pictures tomorrow.

Fortunately, we had some leftovers, so the only things I needed to cook today were coffee and Apfelkompott. I resisted the urge to eat the apple peals, so hopefully no more stomach problems will loom on the horizon. ;))

Mum watched our soccer team playing against the French. They ended up at draughts (is that the world of it), and Mum was disappointed. She so wanted the French to win, mostly because that would have caused the head of our fearless leader to explode. Mum can be vicious if she chooses to. *g*

Since the result was one all, it was a draw. I had to Google it, im not following the football.

Maybe your mum will cheer for Ukraine on Monday, because I want those Austrian soccer idiots be gone! I wonder if they even know into which of the goal nets they are supposed to kick the ball!

I'm not interested in football. At all. I just want our fearless leader to be unhappy.

A draw. I'd have wished for Hungary to win, would have been better for our team. 😁

Oh yes, that's right! Sorry for your team, but everything that ruins the mood of our fearless leader makes me happy.

The cookbook is coming along great! And lol at your mum. Football brings out the passion in all of us! It's why crazy me will be up at 2am tomorrow to cheer of Wales against Italy even though I know I have to be at work by 8 and will shabbier for it. :)

Personally, I find football deadly boring — I'm more into athletics — but Mum is devoted to it, and sometimes I sit with her and watch for a few minutes to help her figure out what's going on. We've got a fairly large telly in the living room, but she still can't read the small info in the corner, due to her weakened eyesight.

We postponed laundry to today! There was a huge thunderstorm yesterday night so the air is more breathable today!
I was cheering on Hungary, too! Mostly because I'm from Belgium and we more or less hate the French on principle ;-)

Well, we were certainly not cheering on Hungary! But that's because our fearless leader is a football fanatic and we like to see him disappointed. *g*

I do love the idea of your Mum cheering on the opposition as she knows it would make his blood boil!

The recipe pages look lovely.

Three more pages to do, plus the cover. It was a fun project, but I'm glad it will be over, soon. Soooo many little details, finicky work and then my sausage fingers — not an easy process! *g*

Sounds like you're really getting so much done! Am I sensing a theme in the cookery pages? Are you writing a cookbook or working your way through one? All your posts seem to have a fabulously named food theme!

It is a self-made cookbook for Theo, who's turning 6 in September. Theo is my goddaughter's eldest; actually, the grandson of my first-grade cousin Andy, which makes me... his great-great aunt or whatnot? In any case, I always make such personal, hand-made presents for the kids of my goddaughter; both she and her mum value such things greatly. Theo likes to help his grandma in the kitchen from time to time, so I thought he'd like a cookbook of his own; if not now, perhaps later.
