Stomach upset is back, which is partially my fault for medicating myself the wrong way; no need to go into detail, is there? In any case, that solved today's cooking problem - we're currently living on tea, black coffee and toast. And the occasional banana. Boiled potatoes would be nice, too, but yours truly had a moment of utter stupidity on Friday and forgot to buy some. *sigh*

I sliced up the Swiss roll and froze it in three portions. When we recover, there will be trifle to have, I guess. Or something similar. Of course, tomorrow is a bank holiday and even the groceries are closed, so no chance to get some potatoes. Okay, enough of that. You all get the picture, I presume.

On a more positive point, I've joined [livejournal.com profile] badly_knitted's crafting community on DW. It's an interesting experience, since I haven't done anything on DW (other than importing my LJ, that is) since I wrote the so far last part of "The Adventures of a Consulting Time Lord". That series had its own comm, yet it has been all but abandoned since. The comm, not the series. I still intend to pick it up eventually. If I live long enough to do so.

Speaking of crafting, I've made considerable headway with the cuddly mini-pillows I'm sewing to use up the leftover fabric from the quiet book projects. And I've typed up some translations I made two days ago. Not bad from a semi-invalid, right?

Again, actually. I had two normal days, then made a mistake and now I'm back at square one. Oh, well, I'll sit out this one and won't experiment.

Is the tea peppermint? Peppermint is good for upset stomachs but it has to be real peppermint plant, not fake peppermint flavoring like you get in some cheap candy or gum. Shredded wheat, yogurt and ginger are also good for upset stomachs.

Relapse is the worst, because it pairs up with frustration. Take it slow this time!

I can only blame myself, so I'll try to do better this time.

As I mentioned above, it was mostly my mistake. I'm much better today, thanks.
