Happy Birthday, dear mirasaui! I hope it's a nice one, despite everything else that's going on in the world.

Here you go, I thought a birthday candle would be a good idea for a change. One doesn't live off of cake alone, after all. ;))



And yes, it is a self-decorated candle. I wouldn't offer something ready-made, not even as a picture. *hugs*

With wax and plastic "stones" — half-beads, actually, but without holes in them. You can get them in craft shops in various shapes.

Love the candle, thanks for the birthday wishes!

It rained all day on my birthday, unusual, as for the past umpteenth years it has been sunny. The next day, Friday, I was in my kitchen and had a visitor:




Bobby and Ryan slept overnight with the snake, I went to a hotel. I don't mind snakes if they are outdoors, but don't like them inside the house. Luckily, Bob was able to lure it outside the next day, where we got the picture and were able to identify it as a "Speckled King Snake". It is not poisonous, eats rodents and the like, so good to have in the yard. What is ironic, is that later that day, we were sitting on the patio and saw this:



Must be the siblings or other kin. We had a week of rain, guess the water drove the snakes into our house and yard.
