First of all, I want to thank you who commented so encouragingly on Mum's first adventure outside the house. I thought it would be more proper to do it here, instead of typing "thanks" half a dozen times. You are all lovely people!

Thank you! Edina Rafaello csokra 2.JPG

On the more recent news, I've made some solid headway with Little Emma's quiet book. Seen from the outside it doesn't seem much, perhaps, but I've worked on it for several hours and am content with the results.

I also cooked today because we ran out of leftovers. I made something akin jam from the three stone hard, outrageously expensive (and very sour) apricots I bought on Monday, just because they looked so pretty. It was enough to eat with the Topfenknödel I made for lunch. Mum was happy.

Accordingly, not much else was done today. After the abnormally warm weather in the last two days today we had moderately strong winds and even a bit of rain today. I wonder what to expect from tomorrow when food run and a trip to school (to order my eggsies) is on the to-do list. And cooking, obviously.

Woah! I missed that snippet, well done Mum! How is she today, sounds like there were a fair few steps... she got her aerobic exercise in!

She is well enough, thank you. A bit tired, but less from the exercise than from the fact that she didn't sleep well. She never does when the weather abruptly changes.

It is yummy, it is quickly and easily made and it isn't even expensive — what else can a girl wish for?

Cooking? What's that? I am currently living off the contents of my over-stuffed freezer.

That Raffaello flower bouquet looks beautiful ♥
I am happy to read that your mum got out of the house again and that it went well.

It sucks that some fruit can be so expensive...I have been meaning to buy strawberries lately but they tend to cost anywhere from 3.50 to 6.70 euros for 500g. Maybe I should wait a couple weeks more...

Good to see both you and your Mum making progress. Wish you luck with the weather. Ours has been horrible. 12 inches of rain last night which flooded some houses in our neighborhood that have not flooded in over 50 years. Some neighbors had to be evacuated. Luckily, our house stayed high and dry. Global warming has definitely changed our weather patterns, amongst other things. We are experiencing heavier storms, more frequently, and in addition, like your area, new species of insects that migrate from other countries. The latest is a form of beetle that looks like a lady bug, but bites, swarms, and stinks if crushed. They have invaded my attic storage room and literally cover the floor. As quickly as I get rid of them, new ones appear. They are seasonal, but seems like the season lasts forever.

Sorry for the late answer. I had a few stressful days. Anyway, I'm glad you like the Raffaello bouquet; it was a Heidenarbeit, as you Germans say, especially with sausage fingers like mine.

Yes, the weather keeps to be completely unpredictable. But as long as the rain stays outside the balcony I'm willing to accept it. ;)

No worries, I don't get around to answering until later sometimes either. That's just life ;)
