... a true genius sees through chaos.

Or so they say. I'm apparently not a true genius, which is why I rearranged the craft supply cupboard today. Well... part of it. I thought I needed a better system in order to find things. I still do. The new arrangement doesn't seem much better than the old one, and to add insult to injury I still have the old one in my head... sort of.

I think I'll give it another try, labelling the individual shelves for the resident idiot (=me). *sigh*

Other than that, not much else happened (fortunately, as this failed effort took me all morning). We had a visit from the physiotherapist, we ate leftovers, and Mum's joints are aching due to the stupid weather. At least we hope it is the weather. After all, all her limbs ache, and the leg that had been operated on is in the better shape. Still, I can't help worrying. With her osteoporosis, the risk that the implants might move is ever-present. *is nervous*

Confusing yourself with your own system, you couldn't do that on purpose. So it is some kind of accomplishment after all! ;)

Indeed! It seemed so logical in theory, but I'm afraid it didn't work out in practice at all.

There are better days and there are worse days. Windy and rainy weather — the one we're having right now — are never good for her. We hope it's just that, and nothing related to the broken bone.

I hope Mum's aches are just weather related. I tried sorting out my craft cupboard a couple of years ago and also had to resort to labeling shelves. As there's only me in the house, I am the resident idiot by default. :D

Craft cupboards have a life on their own. Not even labeling things does always help. *sigh*

You´ll maybe be amused, but I did the same yesterday evening. Not that it did any good, but at least I found the wool I was looking for. Now I have packed all yarn that might get crocheted or knitted one day into a huge duffel bag which is under my PC desk for now. I so wish I´d have shelves like you have! I hope that stupid cold weather will turn into spring weather soon. Warmth would do your mum good, at least I think so. Well, I am talking about warmth, not the heat of summer...

The problem with my craft cupboard is — that it isn't a craft cupboard, not really. It's simply the corner piece of a book cabinet, with only four shelves; deep ones, so if i want to find something, I have to empty half of the dratted cupboard, and then never manage to stuff the things back the same way they were. The ideal thing would be an entire wall with narrow shelves, where one can see things right away. Not gonna happen, I'm afraid.

As for spring, I'm afraid we haven't had that for quite a few years. Cold and rainy has turned into suffocating heat without much forewarning... not the best thing if you live on 53 square metres of concrete (and that includes the balcony)!

I feel for you both. We are also having nasty weather. Hope the damp is the cause of your Mum's aches and that they are better soon.

There are good days and bad days. Age also plays a role, I think.
