I've spent several hours going through my data sticks, deleting stuff that has been saved to more than one place in the past and transferring all my stuff to the space I've freed up. While I'd love to have those hours of my life back, at least now I've got safety copies of almost everything. Of my own stuff (writing, photos, etc.) definitely, and most of the other things, like fanfic and research material, too. I still hope that my main PC isn't planning to die on me, but at least I'm not going to loose anything important. Or so I hope.

Other than that I've cooked a very yummy cauliflower dish today (cover your eyes, [livejournal.com profile] noadvertising!), talked to three different people on the phone and did a tiny bit of writing, too. Just a few paragraphs for the English version of an unfinished Trekfic that still waits to be translated, but that's more than nothing, right?

And now I'll try to play some Solitary, if the PC allows me.

Ooooh, I love cauliflower but Sis doesn't and as she's the cook....

I backup my main hard drive every week, someone pointed me to a free program called FreefileSybc that makes it incredibly easy.

Never heard about it; and I wouldn't dare to try something like that alone. I'm not very technically savvy.
