Some days are spent so quickly I have to ask myself in the evening what the heck was I doing all day. Okay, I did some cooking (for two days), and a lot of reading (mostly for research purposes) and took some notes for a long-existing but never posted WIP... and that was basically it.

I called one of my ex-colleagues, admittedly, who's a bit verbose, but I still don't understand how the day went by so speedily. Heck, Mum even wandered into the kitchen to do the washing-up in an act of stubborn heroics!

At least today premiered with having lunch in the kitchen instead of in the living room as we've done for the last 3 months. Granted, I had to rearrange the kitchen so that she could get to the table and switch the chair there for a much taller one, but we did it. She says it was a very different feeling; we always ate in the kitchen before, and this was one step towards normalcy again.

Well done, Mum! That's a big step toward normalcy and I'm sure she felt much better for it.

Oh, she did. We agreed to do this at least twice a week. Not more often because I have to rearrange the entire kitchen every time, but on a regular basis in any case.

Return to normalcy is what old people crave for. It´s a good thing you managed to give it to your mum!

Hurrah! Those steps towards normality are really important, even when they seem small.

How wonderful for your Mum and you. The move to the kitchen to eat has to be a big boost to morale.

Some days go so slowly, other days are over before they begin or at least it feels like that.

Yeah, time is, as the Doctor said, a wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... thing!
