How is it Saturday again?

And such a bland one at that!

I did the weekly laundry.
I did some research to "A Stitch in Time".

Other than that, I didn't do much, save for the daily dishes. We ate leftovers and slept in to begin with. I'm still dead on my feet from yesterday's exploits. Sometimes I have the feeling that I don't even know what it feels like not being tired all the time.

No phone calls or e-mails or text messages today. Such is a hermit's life, thanks to the damned plague. This isn't how I imagined retirement, but at least we're still alive. In these days that's a serious achievement.

I'm depressingly familiar with the tired all the time feeling. I've long ago forgotten how it feels to NOT be exhausted. Already today I've ben practically falling asleep while posting drabbles at only 5.30 in the evening. I hate getting older.

Yes, we are getting older, and we are glad to be alive in the times of the plague. But this is certainly not the life we have pictured for us when we retired!
