More or less anyway. The pressure and stinging around the heart have ceased; let's hope they keep away.

This is something I had at the age of 21-22 already. Back then the doctors said that it's a leftover from childhood rheumatism and the following inflammation of the heart muscle. They subjected me to uncounted tests and found nothing. They gave me various kinds of medicine, including pills that my Grandpa (who had a serious heart condition) had to take; it didn't help. Then it went away on its own and didn't bother me for a good ten years or so.

The second time I went to the doctors in Germany, where I lived at that time. They found nothing, although I suspect that a six-month-period spent in the Netherlands, additionally to lots of stress, had to do something with it. Dutch weather isn't for the faint of the heart... literally. Then I came home, and after a while it went away again, for many years.

I hope this was but a short reoccurrance because of all that Mum-related stress, Covid-related stress and because I've overextended myself a bit three days ago. *fingers crossed*

Definitely fingers crossed it was nothing.
Maybe you should get it checked out after all.

Sending hugs and hoping you'll be fine now. Stress does weird things.

hope it was nothing but maybe you should make sure.

(P.S. I've been to Holland but it was during the summer so the weather was nice.)

So glad you're feeling better! You've been under a lot of stress the last few months, and it will show up one way or another.

Perhaps, when your mother is fully improved, you should have your heart checked out again, we're able to see the body in so much more detail now than we were able to years ago, and if there's something you can do to keep the problem from coming back...

In any case, make sure to take care of yourself as well as your mother!

It sounds horrible and scary! It is possible it is related to stress and being run down, prolonged stress can have some unpleasant effects. Were you able to get any rest?

Thank goodness you're feeling some improvement. If stress causes it, I can totally understand why it reared its ugly head now. All I can do is send you long-distance hugs. (((((wiseheart)))))

I hope you are better now, but I would not treat such an ailment lightly. What has been a stress-related nuisance once can easily turn into a real condition when you get older!

Hope you continue to improve. Anything having to do with your heart is scary and concerning. I hope you will have a checkup soon, also hope your Mum is doing better.
