"Me"-time

I had a fairly exhausting night - had to get up to assist Mum three times, and the interrupted sleep left me drained. Fortunately, I didn't have to cook today, and the washing-up wasn't much, either. So I took a time-out (with Mum's full support) around 1pm and took the bus to town to pay Müller's a visit. Müller's is mainly a drugstore, but they've got a fairly extensive offer in craft supplies as well; in these days the closest thing to a craft shop one can find open.

Well... I didn't buy anything. They had two wonderful sets of hand-made Indian paper, but only in the shades of blues and reds, and from those I already have enough stock. But in a moment of fleeting insanity I bought two large chocolate bunnies: a middle-sized Lindt Goldhase and a Milka grinning bunny. I presented them to Mum as a consolation prize for having left her alone. She called me crazy but was very happy with them. We both are way too fond of chocolate bunnies. *g*

Not much else was done today. I'm still wobbly on my feet from interrupted sleep. The funny thing is, I usually get up to Mum at least twice a night, but this morning I was so tired I didn't hear the alarm. And if I don't hear the alarm, I can't stay in bed afterwards for 10-15 minutes, which is a real problem. I need time to wake up properly, or else I won't be able to function as I should all day. *sigh*

Our Lindt Goldhase:

And the grinning Milka bunny:

And if you want to know what the chocolate bunny craziness is like in Vienna, take a look at my photos from 2017. ;)

And just for the fun of it: Covid bunnies *g*

According to Gulf News, these were sold in Germany last year...

If the German had known what would come upon them the following Easter they would have thought twice if manufacturing Covid bunnies was a good idea. they say that the older you get the less sleep you need. I´d say that´s a blatant lie! It´s the other way round!

I totally agree! I think sloths have the right approach to life: they only get up to eat, otherwise sleep through the whole day.

Oh those fleeting moments of insanity in stores, they are well known :)

I hope you can have an early night to catch up on sleep.

Unlikely as long as Mum needs help to get to the loo — which she will for several more months, I'm afraid.

Lol! I love the Covid bunnies. In my book, chocolate is a good substitute for craft supplies.

The Lindt and Milda bunnies are so cheery! What a great surprise for your Mum!
And the Covid bunnies — thank you for that! *still smiling*

They are hilarious, aren't they? I'd have bought them, no matter the price, if they'd been available here! I particularly like the pink toilet rolls in their paws. *g*

I, too, bought chocolate Easter bunnies/candy early and we've already been into it — sigh. Too hard to resist. Your Lindt bunny looks pretty and I know *drool* delicious!

Lindt chocolate is, for me, the absolute peak of chocolate art. Although I like Milka, too, and I've had several more brands I liked, but Lindt is still the best.
