The Blooming Eggs

Yes, I know it's a stupid title, but as you can see it's basically 3 eggs on stalks, looking as if they were flowers.

Version #1, made several years ago:



Version #2, finished yesterday:



The colours don't come out as they should in either case, because of the relatively dark background. Once the craft shops open again, I'm gonna buy tons of creme-coloured card stock, I swear!

Other daily activities included a food run, having validated my pensioner's card for another year and a visit from the physiotherapist. I've started stitching a new card but had to undo half of what I've done because I messed up the pattern. *sigh*

They're still lovely! The bottom one is like egg-flowers blooming against a summer sky, and the pink one could be sunset, or dawn.

Thanks. They aren't bad per se, I just prefer a little more contrast between motif and background. Well... make it a lot more contrast. ;)
