All days are busy in these times

Or I keep getting slower. It's possible. In any case, the days seem to become shorter and shorter and the to-do list never ends. *sigh*

Still, as busy days go, this one wasn't all that bad. I got to work a bit on an Easter pattern that I call the Chariot Egg because it depicts, go figure, an egg riding a chariot. I kid you not! It is a complicated pattern, full of swirls and vectors and stuff, but I hope I'll get it done eventually.

I also got to write a bit - one measly scene, but given the circumstances I'm glad that my limited brainpower allowed even that much.

Fortunately, we still had leftovers (although pasta carbonara three days in a row was getting a bit monotonous), so I didn't have to cook. My friend Evie picked me up and took me to the big Auchan supermarket with her car, so that I could stock up on mineral water and various other really heavy things, so I'm all set for the next week or so. Which is a good thing, as Monday is a national holiday and on Tuesday I'll have to take Mum to the hospital for control, and somewhen along the week she's going to get her jab, too, which will also prove a logistic nightmare...

But tomorrow I'll bake a carrot cake, just because!

I often ignore my to-do list these days, only accomplishing what is necessary to keep my household running and ready for occasional visitors, which is mostly family. Continuous lockdown is depressing. Friends used to come in the evening, but since we are supposed to bar our front doors after eight PM such visits are rare (and forbidden).

Funny how To-Do-Lists keep growing the older you get. I don't remember having a problem completing them when I was younger, and working to boot. Wish the best for you and your Mum next week.
