Bow-tie bunny #2:

I've changed a bit the egg design - I'm not sure which one looks better. Frankly, I like both versions.

I also did some writing today and baked a cheesecake to use up some of the apples my colleagues brought us before they would go bad. The cake - with apples and gold raisins - proved delicious. Therefore I won't have to cook tomorrow, as we'll be eating leftover cauliflower creme soup and cheesecake. Yay!

It's fortunate, actually, as tomorrow I'll have to do extended food runs. We're going into lockdown from Monday on, which means all shops but the groceries and pharmacies will close, so whatever I need and isn't available in those two kinds of shops I'll have to purchase within the next two days. *sigh*

I like both designs too! So cute!

What!!! Another lockdown? Oh, my gosh. I'm really sorry to hear about this.

Here, most places are open, but Rick and I are living as though we are on lock-down to avoid accidental infection. I've gotten my vaccinations now, but we have no idea when Rick will become eligible.

Well, apparently the schools are now the hotspots of new infections. *sigh*

Schools are re-opening here, and we dread what's going to come of it in three weeks or so. We hope the vaccinations will help defeat the spread.

I'm envious, I've done tons of baking and I've never been able to make cheesecake.

Do you want my idiot proof recipe? It's done within the hour (half an hour if you use berries as those don't have to be cut) and is really delicious. I think it might work with Philadelphia cheese or whatnot in case you can't get quark over there. I'm told it's a diary product unknown on the other side of the pond.

if it weren't for covid I'd say yes but I can't bake anything if I can't share it with anyone.

Gah, it was exhausting. Everybody is feeling sorry for me but so far no-one has offered to take me to the supermarkets at least once a month with a car, so that I could stock up on heavy stuff like ginger ale, mineral water, flour, potatoes and the likes. Not to mention cleaning products that also weigh a ton.

The main problem is that our glorious leaders only realize that something is wrong when it's already gone therribly wrong.

We are now slowly coming out of lockdown.

I guess nobody is. But it isn't an excuse for so many people behaving like irresponsible idiots.

The bunny is lovely.

And I am now craving cheesecake... I do have the apples — but not the other ingredients, so I will just have to wait until the craving goes away!

This is a very simple recipe, actually. All you need for it are two eggs, 500gr of quark, one package of vanilla pudding powder, 60gr butter, 75 gr sugar, some baking powder and 25gr semolina (I use powdered biscuits instead). Mix everything in a bowl, add 250 gr fruit of your choice (fresh, frozen or dried, it's all the same) and bake it in a 20cm cake tin for 60-70 minutes (depending on your oven) at 180°C.

Another lockdown? That´s bad news. Don´t they know that lockdowns will not work if people don´t strictly stick to the rules? We are up to lockdown 3rd, and a lot of people care little about it anymore...

Same here. Of course, if they had inoculated all teachers after the Christmas break we might not have to close the schools now. But our glorious leader found it more important to make lofty speeches like: "It's us who are attacking now and the virus is in defensive mode" and other idiocies like that.

I like both bunny cards :0) Sorry to hear your country will return to lock down. We are still in semi-lock down phases here, but have moved from modified phase 2 to modified phase 3. I am sure that means an increase in Covid cases, which had been slowing — sigh. Glad to see your writing is ongoing. Cheesecake — Yum! I baked apples the other day, unusual for me. They were delicious. I should do it more often.
