I've finished the last actual page of Little Emma's quiet book. Only the back cover left... and the endless tedium that is seaming and binding the pages. But that has time later.

Behold the Bunny Garden page:

This was the original design, which I followed fairly closely. Everything but the veggies were sewn on solidly in the original. But I decided that it would be much more fun if one could rearrange the clouds or turn around the bunny, so that its face would become visible. The result was an ungodly amount of Velcro sewing, but I think the outcome is worth the achy fingers. See for yourselves:

Okay, I still have to finish two of the cabbages - my fingers simply refused to cooperate any longer - but other than that, it's pretty much done. Yay!

I also made pancakes - not the American version but the thin crepes we understand under that term - for lunch. They were yummy. I then wrote about two paragraphs to the long-time-pending 7th chapter of Sea-Flower. Not much progress, but at least a tiny little step forward.

I declare today a success!

Quiet book will be well loved by little Emma! Velcro is a pest to sew on, that I know! Have you ever done German Pancakes American style? I almost had a laughing fit when I got served some for breakfast! Those things are monstrous!

American pancakes look positively frightening! Who on Earth can even hope to eat such a huge pile of not-exactly-calory-free things? And swimming in maple syrup, too!
