wiseheart | Post-birthday laziness

Mum and I took it easy today. She had three more congratulatory calls (some family members obviously discovered their better side, plus my friend Evie mixed up the days), we ate leftovers and made some preparations for tomorrow's cleaning frenzy. The cleaning lady ought to have enough room to hoover the corners, too, after all.

Needless to say that while putting things higher up on the cupboards Mum found the number candles we had been looking for yesterday. Alas, most of the (very small) cheesecake was already gone, so I couldn't take a picture of the second 88th birthday. :(

I've made good progress with the bunny garden page for Little Emma's quiet book. The background, the bunny, the basket and the clouds are all done. Now come the vegetables and some more Velcro. I'll give it another week, I think, then it's finished. After that, I'll have to face the back cover, which won't be particularly detailled but will have a zipper pocket, which I never made before, so I'm a bit nervous about it.

I also managed to write a little bit and posted another chapter of Sea-Flower to AO3. This is old stuff, actually, I just forgot to post there anything but the very first chapter. Three are up there now, another three are to follow... and then we'll be back to waiting for inspiration to continue the tale. Story of my life...
