Firstly, I've frust-baked the cherry tart below, using up some of the cherries my friend Evie brought us from her own garden in summer. I froze the sulprus and here are the results:

Basically, it is a Rührteig with sour cream instead of milk, cherries and chopped almonds. Called Saftiger Kirsch-Schmand Kuchen in German. I have no idea what it would be called in English, save for "yummy". ;))

Then I did a bit writing and research, and afterwards Mum and I had a GGBO marathon. She gets all these food channels via cable, and Sony Max showed two episodes in a row. We enjoyed it greatly, even taking our lunch (a canned soup and aforementioned tart) into the living room, so that we could watch it undisturbed. In the ad breaks I finished taking down (and apart) the... thing we had instead of a proper Christmas tree this year and I put away all the decorations. Another item crossed through on my to-do list.

I then made the penultimate little felt bird and felt house for Little Emma's quiet book. Sewing Velcro was every bit the "delight" as always, but only one of them is left. Soon, we'll be watching a double episode of "Cake Boss" on TLC, and at 10 pm "Paul Hollywood's Pies and Puds" on TV Paprika. As I said, it's all about baking today.

What are you currently watching? I'm a devout Trekkie myself, although I prefer the older stuff.

I had to google it as I'm not familiar with the series. Sounds interesting.

I might say something like "Juicy cherry-cream cake" in English...but it definitely sounds better in German ;) and does look very yummy!

Yeah, I thought about translating the name word by word but it sounded so weird that I gave up the effort.
And it is very yummy indeed! :)
I can give you the recipe if you want it.

I only have it in German but I don't think that would be a problem for you. *g*
Check out the next entry, I'll post it separately.

Saftig is used in Norwegian. I am partial to the Saftig Biff flavour crisps they sell here. I always thought it meant "tasty beef" crisps as "juicy beef" crisps sounds really weird. Maybe a good approximation would be "mouth-watering."

It does look like a mouth-watering tart!
