We've been dealing with everyday stuff on the phone all morning. Mum talked to the cleaning lady to make a stable schedule (every 4 weeks) and to the sewing lady nearby to find out when our bedlinens would be repaired (after several weeks of waiting). I talked to the phone company and renewed our contract and hunted down the guy who will - hopefully - fix our satellite dish. Eventually. No actual deadline just yet.

The iPad mini was having a bad day, freezing when I was trying to access certain websites while having no problem with others. I hope this won't become a regular occasion. I rarely use the mini for other purposes than taking photos, checking my e-mails or looking up some info I need quickly, but for these purposes I really, really depend on it. And I really, really don't want to invest into a new one yet.

I've made some decent headway with the bird-house page of Little Emma's quiet book and even managed to do some writing. Barely any cooking today - I've fried some frozen fish fillets to the couscous salad we've been eating for three days by now... and there's still some of it left. I think I'll buy some Wiener sausages tomorrow for lunch, since it will be shopping day anyway.

So yeah, life's been incredibly boring and mundane lately. But at least we're still in as good health as it can be expected at our age, we've got a roof above our heads and enough food and no-one is shooting at us, so I guess we're having it better than a great many people all over the planet, so I'm grateful.

You still don't have your TV back?

It's my own fault for not making my move earlier. I'm just too lethargic to deal with such things, most of the time.

Please take care of you! Being bored might turn into being depressed, all the more if you don't have satellite TV.

Actually, I've got a huge heap of DVDs and Mum has her cable TV, so - in theory - I could do without my satellite TV. I still miss it, though. Fortunately, there's crafting and writing and friends I can talk to on the phone to ease the monotony. And I remind myself each day how fortunate we've been so far.

I like your last para. Whenever the world gets too much I try to be thankful that I have a comfortable home in which to retreat.

We are fortunate, compared with a great many other people. I, too, try to remember that.

Boring is good, as far as I'm concerned. Boring means everything is okay and within parameters. That so works for me.

I seriously doubt that between TBG and the cat brigade you ever get the chance to be bored. *g*

Even without them, I don't get bored. I learned a long time ago how to entertain myself with next to nothing. Having a good imagination helps.

I didn't mean with the post that I was bored, either. I rarely am — last time was when I had to attend some utterly useless work meeting. *g* I meant that the entry was boring because there wasn't much to report, really.

Covid is still rampaging here. Glad that you are all safe and healthy. Boring in that sense, is good.

The numbers are going up and down here; mostly up, though. I don't know when we'll see the end of this misery.
