We had our appointment with the hairdresser today and now we've left the Neanderthal and resemble the homo sapiens again - at least on the outside. *g*

While Mum was getting her perm, I had the chance to go to some craft shops as well as the Müller's drugstore and now I'm the proud owner of another motif puncher (this time the right size) and some amazingly beautiful hot foil designer paper (because I don't have enough craft paper already) as well as some Christmas contour stickers. So I'm already armed for the next Christmas crafting frenzy, hahaha!

The trip was exhausting for Mum, though, since she hasn't gone out a lot since Covid took over the world. Accordingly, we were slow like molasses and it was almost 2pm when we got home. Ate leftovers, which is always a win, and then - since I still don't have my telly back - I used the early afternoon to cut out some elements for Little Emma's quiet book: the hen and the penguin, for two different pages. Perhaps I'll be able to make some headway now.

I also went to school for the eggsies but they hadn't arrived yet, and - as my personal friends don't order their eggs from the same source - nobody thought of informing me about that fact. I was moderately pissed, but at least I saw Edith and Elise and waved them from a distance. Better than nothing, right?

Hairdressers are closed here - my parents can have a pony tail soon ... haha ...
It's not very noticeable with my long hair.

I still don't really get the logic in allowing some shops to stay open here while others are not. But I'm glad we could have our hair cut.

It was high time. Mum was considering plaiting her hair, which would have been a dramatic sight. *g*

Oooh...browsing in shops. Happy memories. Lol. At least we crafty folk can always find something to entertain when there's no TV.

Indeed! I've made decent headway with the hen-and-chicks page of Little Emma's quiet book and am hoping to finish it tomorrow or the day after. I mean the page, not the entire book. *g*

Can't remember the last time I've been in a salon, my hair is long enough to cut myself. DH (Dear Husband) only has to worry about the sides and back as he is missing a bit on top, and my son's hair is past his shoulders and has been since before Covid. However, we could all stand at least a trim, if not more. The virus count is still high here, so atm, we sadly won't risk it.

Yeah, last time we did it was back in July when things were a tad better, but the situation has become unbearable. We both have short hair, which looks absolutely horrible when it grows out just enough that we resemble a pair of frustrated Neanderthals. My hair is also very thin, so when it grows out you thing one had poured a can of water over me, so. After a while I just couldn't bear it.
