Nah, still not dead. And to prove it, here's the new "Kansas" chapter (waves to Jillian):

http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=1791644&chapter=16

This time, it's just Garibaldi and Ayala trying to escape, Tuvok and a security team searching for them, and Lyta... well, she's having a bit of bad luck. Quite a bit, in fact.

On other news, school ends today. So, starting tomorrow, I might regain some of my mental abilities. *sighs* Maybe I'll even bring up the energy to go to the fitness studio regularly again. It'd be sorely necessary.

More Serious Stuff(TM), including the promised analysis of my class's social structure will be coming later. Or not. Depends on how much my brain will be functional after today. *g*

School's out! Yay!

Isn't it funny how the kids always think they're the ones who are so happy when really the staff and teachers are probably FAR moreso? My Dad taught for 35 years and now my sister teaches (high school), and I know better.

They're the happiest to have school done for another year. ;)

Enjoy your time off, relax and have fun!

Yep, that's right. This was my 28th year in educational business, and I must admit, I'm incredibly happy that it's come to an end. It was a particularly hard day, with many professional setbacks, but so God helps, the next one promises to be better. *crosses fingers* At least I'll have one 5th term group - this year all I had were 13-15-year-olds and that's really hard. I prefer younger children.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!

School is out for Wiseheart! Summer is here! Summer ist a kummin in - ludda sing cuckoo. Or something like that... it's a Middle English remnant, I think. Looks like it got a little warm in Budapest this week, and I know you like the heat even less than I - how are you faring?

Now that school is out, tell Scotty to get that transporter working so you can come to Boston and sit in the shade at the community garden with me, nibbling strawberries and chocolate and peering up through the trees looking for Elves. OK?

I would like to do so. But it'd involve flying, you know... And I'm not Gollum to swim across the salty waters, either.

Which is why Scotty should stop groping Yeoman Rand and start fixing that transporter!!!

School's out for summer! Better not listen to Alice Cooper's song of the same name, some of the things he says the kids should do to teachers aren't nice.

Have a lovely summer! And thanks for the Kansas update, I'm off to read it.

Thanks for the review! I'm going to try finishing "Kansas" in this summer... and probably a few other projects, too. Nex term I'll have a lot less time for writing.
