How is it that tomorrow will be Christmas Eve already? Where has all the time gone? It's crazy!

At least I used this morning well. The sun showed itself for a while, so I had enough light to do some crafting. My story book is taking shape nicely. I've done the unpleasant part today, i.e. creating the cover and the whole binding system. That one is tricky, seeing how much I suck at measuring, counting and drawing straight lines. But it is done now, and I can go on to the pleasant part: to making the individual pages, which promises to be fun. I've changed the design a bit, adding another page; I think it will work better that way.

I cooked lunch for two days: Mary Berry's chicken pasta bake. That means I won't have to cook tomorrow at all, since Mum's volunteered to make the apple soup, so I'll have the time to arrange my gigantic cookie display. I promise pictures of that.*g*

I talked on the phone to Evie, Erna and Alex; it was very pleasant. Mum also had a call from a former boss of her, so we had real social life today. ;)

And that was it, basically. Christmas preparations are rather low-key in our house anyway, and most of it (baking and decorating) is already done, so we can hope for a peaceful, quiet Christmas Eve - just the way we like it.

My Good Thing of the day:
Getting a lovely Christmas card from [livejournal.com profile] adafrog. Thank you, my friend!

That sounds nice - food ready, socialising within the limits of the year , and ready for a peaceful, quiet Christmas.

I' looking forward to seeing the gigantic cookie display :)

Check out my next entry. Granted, I forgot to add the pistachio wreaths before taking the photo, but even so, it seems... a bit overdone. *g*

I shall be having a quiet Christmas Eve too. I may break out that pizza I have sitting in the freezer.

As a rule we prefer quiet Christmasses. Still, when my goddaughter called and we could hear the children in the background, it hurt a bit not being able to see them. Little Emma is a year and a half and we've seen her exactly twice. And we haven't even seen little Milena (one month younger) in real life at all yet.

Considering I am posting in the new year, Christmas greetings are a bit late. But hope you had Merry Holidays anyway ;0)
