Advent, Day 22
Dec. 22nd, 2020 05:42 pmI've finished decorating the artificial monstrosity. Here are the results:

The photo isn't the best, there simply wasn't enough light; perhaps I'll take another one once the sun deigns to show itself. Right now it is very mildly raining, so this was the best I could do. *sigh*
FYI, everything on the tree (with the exception of the tiny red plastic hearts and apples that are practically invisible) is hand-made by yours truly. I'm very proud at that part.
The tree doesn't actually look bad; it's just a bit narrow, a fact that I didn't realize when I bought it. I thought I'd be able to bend the benches more outside. I was wrong. Ah, well, now we stick with it for the next couple of years. Still, a somewhat wider tree would have been nice, but the really wide ones cost almost twice as much as this one.
Other than that, I took out Mum to the grocery shop two corners from our building. That ate the entire morning; she can't walk very briskly. After that, we had a very late brunch (no cooking), then I pre-cooked some stuff for tomorrow, then my friend Evie dropped by with some flour and mineral water (because she has a car and didn't want us to carry heavy items), and then I fell asleep in front of the telly.
My Good Things of the day:
- getting a beautiful card, together with a lovely letter from
mirasaui
- learning that
adafrog got her card, too - only two more to go
- seeing Evie and getting a small Christmas gift from my other friend, Edith, via Evie.
