So, I've finished the project just in time. I'll present it on Friday to my friend Erna, who is the intended recipient. It's not as perfect as the original, but Erna is a forgiving soul, so I hope the lopsided little boxes won't be a problem. *g*

Back cover:

The inside with the lopsided boxes:

The reindeers on some of the boxes are actually light red; I have no idea why they turned into orange on the picture. *sigh*

Other than that, today is the 24th anniversary of Grandma's death. Mum and I lit a candle at the meals; not that we'd need the reminder. We talk about her practically every day.

She's our art teacher, so I believe she will. :)

Oh, it turned out quite nice! I love the reindeer on the front and back and the reindeer lining on the inside. Your friend should love the book :0)

I've had that special paper for the front cover for years but it was always too large for the other projects like journals, cards and explosion boxes. Now it has finally found its true destiny. *g*

Not bad for a first attempt, I'd say. Sadly, the fact that I can't cut (and glue on) in a straight line influenced the outcome a bit.

The calendar is beautiful and I don't think anyone would mind the boxes being lopsided. I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it.

Some of them can't even be closed properly. *g*
Using heavier card stock might have made them more stable - OTOH that would have killed my fingers while cutting out all the pieces, so they'll have to do as they are.
