Because Mum nagged me to do so, since she can't just go out and get me something, and anyway, who knows how much longer the shops will be able to stay open in the current situation and all that.

So I went to the Müller drugstore and to a craft shop today, since I had to do the food runds and to fetch the eggs from school anyway, and now I'm the proud owner of two special motif punchers I've wanted for... well, about forever, but never bought because they are so ridiculously expensive. The bigger one cost about as much as all the stuff I bought in the craft depot two weeks ago - of course, this was at the Rayher's craft shop, which is always expensive. I also got myself a pad of embossed cardboard sheet at Müller's, so I think St. Nicholas Day, Christmas and my name day are all covered.

Before that, I made two food runs, and by the time I got to school I was dead on my feet, not to mention lugging two heavy shopping bags with me. And that was before I'd have picked up the 30 eggs at school. Fortunately, my friend Evie has her car back from the mechanics and she'd finished work just about the time I arrived, so she gave me a lift home. She's a jewel!

Not much else happened. I was knocked out for the rest of the afternoon. My other friend, Eenie, gave me a call, which was nice, but otherwise I was pretty much done in.

Edit: Since a few of you've asked, this was the bigger motif puncher and this was the smaller one.

No kidding that's been a lot of walking and lugging things around. Take it easy for the rest of the day.

Oh, trust me, I have. All I did was typing up the 4+ pages generated by the new plotbunny and watching River Monsters.

I've added links to the post, so you can take a look. :)

And this (https://www.amazon.de/folia-61349-Pr%C3%A4gekartonblock-Ganzjahr-sortiert/dp/B0014EJR7I) is the pad of embossed cardboard.

Yay for getting a lift!

Wow - how expensive was that motif puncher? I haven't bought one for ages but they didn't used to be that expensive?

They have always been expensive over here, unless you buy them at the craft depot. But they didn't have the size I needed, and a 2" diameter puncher is quite the monster. I've added links to the page, so you can check the prices. I'm not good at calculating the difference between Euro prices and the ones in our own currency.

Haha, thanks! Theoretically, I shouldn't be allowed to use the stuff until Christmas, but I probably won't be able to resist. *g*

Scalloped 2" diameter circle and large, six-petal flower. Check out the links I've added to the post to see for yourself.

They look neat. What will you use them for?

For 3D decoration elements on cards, journals and boxes. First, you punch out the biggest size of, say, a flower, then a medium one, then a small one. You put small pieces of this double-sized foam tape between them and trara: you've got impressive depth.

Well, the 2" punch turned out one size bigger than I actually wanted, but I'll put it to good use anyway.
Mum's reaction was: Well, go back and buy the right size - I'm paying! I'll do so, eventually, but under the current circumstances I won't risk using mass traffic if I don't have to. So I'll have to wait and hope that the right size will still be available next time when I dare to cross the Danube.
