Fun with TV - and baking

No, I didn't actually bake anything today. But on German TV, the 2020 season of "Das Große Backen" - the German version of The Great British Bake-Off - has finally started, and Mum and I watched it with the usual devotion.

I also gave the little darlings mentioned on Friday a try. The first one didn't exactly turn out how I wanted - it seems I will have to break out the hot glue gun, after all, no matter how much I hate it, because wet glue won't hold the heads of the dolls stable enough. *sigh*

Usually this is the time when I excuse my updates getting more scarce, doing the fact that picowrimo has finally started. But in these times I need a way to keep track on myself and stay in touch with others, so I might actually be here every day. ;)

Addendum: and oh, dear God, it's raining again! Two nice, dry (although clouded) days were apparently too much of a good thing. *sigh*

I find the hot glue gun difficult to wrangle myself. Your project looks well worth it, tho.

Those do look cute. I have a glue gun, but I don't always find any more efficient than using copydex or similar for a lot of things, so it is less useful than I thought it might be.

Its only advantage is that it dries very quickly. I rarely use it, because it's really a bother, but I'm afraid this time I won't get around it.

I've heard there's also a great Irish Bakeoff and a great Australian bakeoff show but I haven't seen them.

I find it funny that the videos always seem to be titled "easy", and they look nothing but! Especially, if the crafting involves a hot glue gun.

*nodnod* That hot glue gun is the bane of my existence. Other than that, the dolls really aren't that complicated to make. The only obstacle is to fix the heads on the bodies.
