Being domestic

Not much happened in recent days, but again, not much has really happened ever since we were hit by the dratted virus. It's a good thing that some of my LJ friends had birthdays, at least I had something to post about.
In any case, Mum and I went to the Auchan supermarket yesterday. She loves going to the shops, and after 11am there isn't an actual crowd, neither on the tram, nor in the supermarket itself. She enjoys pushing around the shopping car, looking at the offer and the prices and all that.
Today I've finished the first double page of Little Emma's quiet book. Namely, the front cover (the one with the little flags and the cake) and Page 1 (the one with the bear and the beehives). They are now sewn together and framed with that pretty, flower-patterned fabric. One-fifth of the work done - it's a good thing that I've got the time to work on it till next summer.
I've decided to make some Christmas cards this year and watched a few YouTube videos for inspiration. Alas, the only inspiration I got was to buy more motif punchers... as if I didn't already have enough! Fortunately, I don't do online shopping and avoid getting out of the house as much as I can due to the Covid situation, so I've been able to resist... so far. I don't keep up my hopes in this area, though. Motif punchers are just too addictive.
My friend Evie called today. Autumn break is starting on Friday (which is a national holiday) and will last 10 whole days! Yay for poor teachers!
(We actually might use the opportunity to hit the craft shop for supplies together, as Evie has a car and so I won't be exposed to the idiots using the same tram...)
