On Monday, I took Mum for the food run because she needed to get out of the house as long as we could still risk it. Then I parked her at home and went for another food run, 'cause you can never get all the stuff you need in one shop.

On Tuesday, same old, just without Mum.

On Wednesday - that would be today - I cooked for the next two days and baked cheesy buns.

Tomorrow the monthly big flat cleaning is on the programme. It will took all morning, even with the hired help. Which is why I needed to cook for two days today.

On Friday I'll have to go to the shops again, as at my advanced age I no longer can haul everything home in just one day.

Is it just me or has monotony really taken over my life?

Oh you know, for me it's usually get up, work, read, watch TV, go to bed ... rinse and repeat.
So ... not exactly exciting either.

Perhaps better so. Excitement always means something bad in these days. Still, I really miss having, you know, fun.

Well, I suppose all that running around keeps you fit, a daily workout.

Unfortunately, it also gives me a murderous appetite. *g*

Sometimes it seems that's the thing, isn't it?

Afraid so, yeah. But at least I managed to write a nice amount both for "A Stitch in Time" and "Sleeping Dragons 5". I'm curious what you'll say to my take on the 456. *g*

Monotony is definitely a thing for me. I'm either in the house, writing, or out of the house, shopping. At least I managed to get in a simple walk yesterday, that did not involve shopping.

Yeah, the only positive aspect of the situation is that I could put in some quality writing time.

Doesn't sound like monotony to me. It just sounds busy.

It is boring! Shopping used to be fun, back in the goode olde times when you could actually take the time and not flee the grocery shops as soon as possible to avoid exposure to idiots and their germs. Now it's just another chore. :(

We have, unfortunately, the same grind here. Grocery shopping has become a dreaded necessity and not the enjoyable outing it used to be. And, because of limited supply and the rush to get out of the stores, meals at our house are same old/same old, mundane. My fault, I know, but the only inspiration I get as far as cooking is seeing what you post, and that lasts until I close out LiveJournal.

I don't know if we have angered the Gods or what, but 2020 is truly one series of bad after another and it has me a bit depressed today. We have one more (I am fast losing count) tropical storm/hurricane heading our way, not to mention the 5 or so others floating around in the Atlantic. The only good news is that this one will not be as strong as the previous, category 1 most likely instead of 4. But, no storm is welcome, and we always worry as we have quite a few large oak trees in our yard that could crush the house if they were to fall. We always have advance notice of each storm, so can leave if necessary, but this hurricane season seems to be particularly active. Sorry for the rant. I think everyone is feeling the effects of confinement, especially with the change of season. Glad you were able to be a bit productive towards your writing, that makes a dreary day worthwhile. Hope you make more progress of that type.

You live in a fairly endangered part of the planet, I think. We've been fortunate with the weather so far, I'm really ashamed for all the whining I do about it. But when you've got very little chance to do anything you enjoy, small problems appear much larger than they really are (speaking of myself of course).
