The good news is: my iPad mini has been repaired and back in the fold. I'm relieved.

The annoying news is: I've been waiting for the insurance agent for 45 minutes by now and she still hasn't shown up. And she was the one who contacted me so that we can look through my portfolio. I hate it when people steal my time!

The odd news is: now LJ starts sending me e-mails under the title: "new in your friends feed". Why are they doing that? I'm more than capable of checking my flist, for God's sake! Anyone knows how to shut this off? It's annoying and offensive and I don't want it!

Mixed other news: I've worked on my shabby chic journal - made a double-sided page - and wrote about 3.5 pages for Sleeping Dragons 5. The weather is still capricious, it's sunny, but with fairly strong winds that push all the warmth out of our non-isolated concrete building. *sigh*

It's sunny but breezy here too. The wind keeps shoving clouds my way, then shuffling them on, fortunately fast enough for them not to drop water on me.

Yeah, that's why I hope for, too. The flat is actually much colder than the weather in the outside (I just made a run to Lidl for mineral water), but no rain means no balcony leaks.

Hurrah for the iPad being home.

Re the notifications - I think you can probably turn them off in 'settings'.

We have had strong winds and heavy rain but today is dry and calm - but the top temperature is only 16C :(

I've tried 'settings', but they don't even list this particular item. *grrrrrrrr*

I got one of those stupid notifications yesterday. At the bottom of the email there should be an "unsubscribe" link. Click that and you can turn off the notification. That's what I did.

Happy you got your iPad back! Lucky for me, I have not received the "new in friends feed" email ... yet. I am sure it won't be long before one pops up though. Summer is on its last legs here :0( although we will most likely have warm weather off and on for another month or so. Hurricane season won't end until November, and September is a productive month for storms. I'm keeping fingers crossed we don't get anything major heading our way. This year the season has been quite active, disconcerting when combined with the Covid situation.
