Friends are precious

So, Evie managed to come over after school today. We had a lovely conversation of two and a half hour, sitting safely at both ends of my bedroom, which means 3.5 metres. I showed her last month's crafty achievements and gave her a cherry stone pillow of her choice, one of the chicken pot holders and the mask I made myself. It had the same pixie-and-mice pattern as the pillow, and she's looking forward to show up wearing it among the lower primary kiddies. We're both sure the mask will be a winner. *g*

She was also happy with the needle book elwenlj gifted upon us. She never had something like that before and told me to deliver her thanks. :)

In the morning I made the obligatory food run and even managed to write a bit. Not much a mere few paragraphs - for a third story, not for either of which I've been working on lately. *sigh*

After Evie left, I put up two more chapters of "Magic Mirror" to hiddenrealms, and by doing it, I realized that I forgot to post Chapter 13 to AO3; posted Chapter 14 instead last Saturday. So I had to correct that. Because of this, however, I won't be posting another chapter this weekend; I'm running out of finished chapters, and I don't want to have a too long break after having put up Chapter 17. The problem is, I've run into some plot problems with Chapters 18 and 19 and don't know how to solve them, without making one extremely long and the other one extremely short.

I'm so pleased the failed book found a home. It was a shame to waste all that effort and some good silk. There are so many fun masks around nowadays. They're becoming quite the fashion statement...for those of us wearing them.

Evie was very happy with it. She loves silk and lace and stuff, but has very few chances to indulge. You just made her day... nah, you made her entire week!
