Only 11 now - I still have to wait for the 12th matchbox to become empty. ;)

Small corrections are still possible, but they are more or less finished. Fastening the small wooden beads on the gold cord was a particular pain, seeing that my sausage fingers aren't really suited for such delicate work, but all in all I'm quite pleased with the outcome.

They're gorgeous! They're making my mouth water for Christmas already.

Cute. But oh so tiny.

Actually, those are medium-sized matchboxes: 5 cm by 7 cm, so they are not unmanageable. For people *without* sausage fingers, is. ;)

Seeing what little I had to work with, I am quite pleased with the outcome. But that is the point of working with recycled stuff.

Feeling all christmassy seeing those!

I always start early with the Christmass-y crafting, to have enough stuff to offer at the annual charity fair of our school. Assuming we will have one this year...

So pretty! And I love the fastenings. I really need to do some more work on mine.

I'm pleased with the fastenings, too, but they were one hell of a job to make. Sausage fingers are very practical when you have to knead dough, but a serious disadvantage by such delicate work.

Thanks. For amateurish work they're well enough, I think.

I love them! What a fun Christmas craft! It looks like a lot of detail work, which is a great way to relax, and lose yourself in your thoughts while your fingers do the cutting and glueing!

I dunno about relaxing. I have to concentrate really hard to get the cuts more or less straight and the glueing go where it's supposed to be. *g*

Still it was indeed fun work. :)

Oh wow. they are all lovely. I especially like the one you have centered in the 3rd image, with the tree and stars on the inside lid and the leaf patterned interior.

Yeah, I loved that leaf-patterned paper. Unfortunately, I'd used up almost all of it for a previous project (perhaps for the Russian dolls, although I'm not sure), so I only had enough left for the one box.
