Mum and I are both quite lethargic due to the heat in these days. Since no outside activity is planned for today, we chose to cook the simplest possible lunch, too: fried fish fillets with steamed veggies and boiled potatoes with lots of parsley. These things practically cook themselves and neither of us needs to stand over the hot oven all morning.

I had a nice phone chat with my friend Evie in the morning, and managed to transcribe all the bits I wrote in recent days for "Magic Mirror". Hereby I declare it work enough for one day and am determined to be terribly lazy for the rest of it. Especially as tomorrow is grocery shopping day again, and in this weather I must go obscenely early to survive. *sigh*

So do I, although it is August, you know, it ought to be hot in this season. I'm just not the person who can appreciate the heat.

We're heading for 105 (40C) today. You have my sympathies. We are keeping as close to home. as possible for the next week as it's only going to get hotter.

Sounds like a reasonable surviving tactic to me. Take care!

It is the same for my Mum and I! We went shopping on Tuesday, I went to the hairdresser yesterday and we both had physio today but apart from that, we're staying at home! We watch TV, my Mum reads and I play some video games... Tonight we haven't ordered some chinese take out so no need to cook! But the good news is that the temperature have started to drop here!

Oh and I saw you mentioned "Magic Mirror". Can you tell me more about it?

This is Magic Mirror (https://archiveofourown.org/works/24558778/chapters/59307106). Basically a crossover between Merlin BBC and the "Camelot" TV-series, which I valiantly try updating once a week. *g*

We have had fog here today, so I had to wear a coat to go to the shop. There must be a happy medium somewhere, between our two climates.

The heat does make us want to just lie around - we should think of us all as a pride of lions maybe!

Gerald Durrell put it this way once: lions are enviably lazy. *g*

I refuse to slave over a hot oven any longer than absolutely necessary. It gets eaten in 15 minutes, tops, anyway. At least in our family.
