To summarize the day...

... because I want to keep up for the daily posts:

- I made several food runs (limited ability to haul around bags in these days);
- I met several ex-co-workers while fetching this month's eggsies (seeing that I get them through the school);
- I talked on the phone to two lovely ex-colleagues;
- I re-wrote the last scene of Chapter 14;

Other than that, hot and rainy periods followed each other all day. Mum's joints are aching due to the weather. I feel distinctly exhausted. But it was a good, efficient day nonetheless.

We had a bit of a storm about an hour ago and then it rained for 5 minutes ... just ... great.

It seems like a shame that you have to struggle so to get your food shopping done. I wish there was something I could do to make it easier for you. At least you have it done for the week now.

Actually, I make these food runs twice a week. They aren't so bad; at least when it isn't so hot. The worst part for me is that I have to get up at least two hours earlier than usual, if I don't want to carry all the stuff in the worst heat of the day. These are the days when I envy people who have cars; they can cruise around to every shop they need to go to, fill up the back of the car and get done for at least a week.

I miss my girls terribly, but that's nothing new. I've been missing them ever since I retired. Not the school, not the kids, certainly not Boss Woman, but a great many of the colleagues, yeah.
