So, I finally managed to write the last scene to Chapter 14 of "Magic Mirror" - less than half a page, but at least the chapter of Hell is truly finished. I intended to type up the newly written stuff, but I simply couldn't bring up the energy. *sigh*

Then I worked a bit on drawstring bag #3; more than I actually expected, but it will still need at least another day. More likely two, as I'm particularly slow in these days.

Then I cooked dinner: a chicken breast and mushroom casserole, which was yummy. Alas, the alcohol free Radler (beer and limonade, in this case lemon, black elder and mint) tasted so funny that I couldn't actually drink it. A shame, as I was looking forward to it all morning. Mum found it not so bad and drank her portion, but I just couldn't.

From that moment on, the day deteriorated steadily. I could have slept all afternoon in front of the telly, but it was too hot even for that. Yes, I know it's August, we've had even hotter weather in the previous years, this is the time when it's supposed to be hot. It doesn't mean I have to like it, though.

I totally agree with the last paragraph!

Lemon, elderberry and mint sounds weird - esp. the mint!

Actually, I had lemon and elderberry Radler before, and it was good. I had lemon and mint Radler, too, and that was good as well. I don't know why this mix was so artificial-tasting, but I just couldn't force it down.

Hope it cools down for us all soon. I hate heat.

Sounds like a yummy meal, despite the drink. :-)

The drink was a big disappointment. I like this kind of stuff, and the ones I had before were all very yummy.

That's not good! I hope the next one you drink is better.

I struggle when it's too hot. In cold weather you can add more layers of clothes, but in hot weather there's a modesty limit.

Lemon and mint are sworn enemies.

I dunno, I had Radler with lemon and mint before, and it was yummy. This brand, however...

I'm useless when the weather gets hot. Doubly so when it's that-time-of-the-month! Last week was a rough one for me!

I can imagine! Fortunately, I'm safely beyond that age, but I haven't forgotten how annoying it could be.

Sorry for all the late replies, been away from the computer for awhile. Your dinner (once again) sounds delicious! Aside from the drink, that is. Not sure how I feel about flavoured beer, whether alcoholic or not. My husband drinks apple cider and I can't develop a taste for it. I do like apple juice, just not with carbonation.
