Odd things
Aug. 1st, 2020 07:22 pmCould harsh sunlight actually affect satellite television? Since this extreme heat has arrived, I'm almost incapable of watching my telly after 5 o'clock. While the channels come in all right during the night and in the morning, usually only one or two are available in the afternoon... and those come through the same frequency, as a rule. Since I've got my own satellite dish on the roof, there has to be some general effect up where it is - or at the satellite itself.
I just hope it doesn't mean that after a while the receiver will become totally useless. We barely have any German channels via the official Vodafone cable, and I need my German background noise, so that I won't forget the language entirely.
