Hunting Tuesday

I got up an hour later today, to make the usual food run, before it would become really hot. Of course, the weather chose to become really hot much earlier, but at least I've finished the whole thing by 10am.

Since it was so hot, we decided on a quick and easy lunch: our version of canned soup (actually pulverized stuff you have to pour into boiling water), grilled sausages, mashed potatoes and a salad. And we each had an ice cream sandwich for afters. And coffee. Coffee is absolutely necessary for survival.

Afterwards I wanted to type up all the stuff I've written in recent days, but only managed half of it before my TV programmes (zoo reports and "Money for Nothing") started, as my darling young (ex)colleague, Alex, called me to tell me about the wedding of her best friend. I was really glad to hear her voice again.

And, well, that was it, basically. Have I mentioned that it is really hot over here?

You lunch sounds delicious! Now, you have made me hungry. It is hot here also, but welcome - the sun, at least. These last two weeks we've had nothing but rain due to a tropical depression in the Gulf. The cooler temperatures were nice, but everything is quite soggy. :0(

Fortunately not hot in Akalla which makes me pleased, I do not need a repeat of the summer of 2018 when I felt almost fried.
