Mini pot holders

They are really small, about 15cm by 15cm or suchlike because that was the size of scrap fabric I found in a box at home. So, they are either for eager kiddies wanting to help Mum or Grandma in the kitchen, or for people with small hands.



Other than that, I nearly finished Chapter 16 of "Magic Mirror" and had four different phone chats with dear friends and (ex)colleagues, three if then fairly long. We had leftover apple soup and leftover tart for lunch, so no cooking today. I call that a pleasant day.

This was one of those "learning by doing" projects; interestingly enough, muscle memory brought back techniques I last used back in 6th or 7th grade when we learned to sew at school. I thought I'd forgotten everything, but apparently, some small things were just parked in the dark recesses of my faulty memory. *g*

The wee pot holders are very sweet and make me want to try some myself. (I really need to clear my craft cupboard and get rid of some wadding.)

Yeah, that was my motivation, too. The fabric was too thin for the cherry stone pillows, but I wanted to do something with them. Something easy. Which it was, save for the seaming, but now that's done, too, and I am content.

I bought a package of those for the Easter stuff and they were left over. I thought they'd fit the yellow fabric well enough.
