No, I haven't lost my mind (not completely, at least not yet). This was the title of an old film in my forgotten youth, about some people making a journey around the globe. I don't remember anything else about it - it might be I haven't even actually seen the film - but the title stuck. And it is Tuesday. Even though the farthest I got today was the supermarket. After having fought a seemingly hopeless fight (and achieved an unexpected victory) against the automated ticket selling machine first.

Other than that, not much happened. I worked a bit on my pot holders and transcribed what I wrote yesterday. That's about it. But quiet days are good days.

P.S.: Obviously, I've just jinxed it. An hour ago we had a hefty shower, and now the balcony is leaking again. *sigh*

At least you know it's Tuesday ... I'm losing count!

That's what the TV Programmzeitschrift is for. Otherwise, I'd get confused, too.

it actually had a remake. I did not see either of them.

It's all about remakes in these days. Nobody seems to have an original idea.

the remake wasn't recent, it was made in 1987.

Still nothing original, though.

I remember that film, in fact. And the lesser known Three Bites of the Apple, along a similar vein.

Sorry that you are dealing with more flooding.

Yeah, well, it was going to happen sooner or later.

I recognised the title straight away - I have been known to say it to blank looks from the younger generation!

Shame about the shower - I do hope you can get that balcony sorted out soon, it must be very annoying for you both.

Especially as it has been going on for years. :(

Quiet days here, too. The heat and humidity have gone. The cool air is so refreshing!

Grrrr. Balcony!

Yeah, I know, it's getting old with the balcony. Especially after all the time and money it has already cost us. :(

The title song was written & sung by J.P. Raggs..
Which had Norman Fell, Robert Vaughn, Donovan & Patricia Routledge as the most famous people to appear in it.
The movie was aired on regular TV in the 80s when a crappy made-for-TV-movie sequel was released.
The title song is the best thing about it.

Thanks for the details. This is more than I have ever learned about the film.

Sometimes those automated ticket machines are a pain. I have had nightmares about them.

Dang. Sorry about the balcony.

Those machines are nightmare personified. Why they can make normal, usable ones in Austria but not here is beyond me.

I don't watch TV, instead streamed movies/dramas. But, fast running out of good ones, plus my eyes get tired if I watch too much. There is a tropical storm out in the Gulf of Mexico, so we are having quite a bit of rain. Thankfully, unlike you guys, we have no leaks, just a carport that floods but does not wet the inside of the house. Wish you the best with your balcony.

Thanks. It leaked last night again; I poured out about half a liter water from the plastic box I put under the most likely place of the leakage. It's really annoying.
