Dentist appointment the third
Jul. 6th, 2020 07:30 pmI finally got one of my teeth filled. For that, I had to cross the city in sweltering heat, and the dentist worked on me almost an hour and a half. She had to do some laser work on my gums and other complicated stuff. It didn't hurt, but it wasn't pleasant, either... or cheap. The edge of the newly filled tooth is still a bit sharp, I'll have her smoothe it over when I go back on Wednesday for the other tooth to be done. *sigh*
On my way home I also did the shopping; fortunately, I managed to catch a modern, air-conditioned tram, so I spent the 35-minute journey in a nice, cool wagon. In the supermarket, I briefly visited their creative aisle and discovered a package of lovely, patterned small buttons that were on sale - I paid less than a quarter of the original price! It was definitely a lucky coincidence.
I came home completely drained. As I still had no feeling in half of my face, we decided to eat our leftovers (the same things as yesterday) later, and I had a nice, long phone chat with my young friend and ex-colleague Alex. She's such a nice girl, talking to her is always a delight.
Then we ate, and I fell asleep in front of the telly, until now.
Weather forecast promises a cold front for tomorrow - seeing the strong wind that is coming up right now, it seems more than likely. I just hope it won't come with stormy rain; the last thing I need is to wipe up water on the balcony half the night.
