And temperatures skyrocketed without warning, too! Considering how cold it had been until now it isn't necessarily a bad thing - if you like hot weather. I don't, not particularly. Still, it's better than thunderstorms and all that unpleasantness, and at least around this time of the day it becomes fairly pleasant, too.

Accordingly, not much was done today. Well, Mum went on a cleaning spree, but that's something I can't talk her out of. I'd have found it more reasonable if she'd given herself a day or two to accommodate to the sudden outburst of summer, but there are arguments I just can't win. Like "the flat is there for us, not the other way round". I've given up on that one.

Fortunately, at least cooking wasn't an issue today. We still had soup from yesterday, Mum prepared the potatoes that we didn't eat then, after all, and I fried some fish I bought at ALDI in approximately ten minutes. I like cooking like that. *g*

On more artistic venues, I started a shabby chic journal because there are lots of paper scraps left over from the baby books. This one I just make for my own pleasure; although I'm sure there'll be a recipient eventually. I also finished typing up the last page and half of the translation and sent it to the editor, plus I wrote a few paragraphs to "Magic Mirror 12" and transcribed all the written stuff. Oh, and I did lots of research concerning the Courts of the Fae as they're supposed to have a significant role in the story later on.

All in all, not bad for such a hot day.

The temps went up 10° within a few days here as well. I'm not amused.

We had spaghetti with gorgonzola sauce today, that was nice and quick as well.

It it only wouldn't go up so abruptly! But yeah, quick meals are the thing of the day by such temperatures.

It's cold here right now. I'm so glad it's winter; I hate the heat. Stay cool!

I could never bear the heat, either. Unfortunately, now that I've become an old hag, I don't bear the cold all too well, either.

I prefer Spring temperatures, which last here all of two weeks. After that, it is broiling summer which I still like better than the cold of winter. Luck with your writing, seems as if on that front you are doing well.

Yeah, Spring has become an elusive thing in recent years. This was the first year in about a decade that we had a couple of weeks of proper Spring.
