All right, so I've finished Baby Book #3 and I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out.

Pages 10&11. The text on the right side tag says: Little flower, little dove, little evening star from yesterday - welcome! (It is actually a quote from a poem.)

And finally Page 12. The text on the tag says: You'll get the world like a marble. It's misquoted; the original says "You'll get the distance like a marble", but I only noticed my mistake when the tag was finished and I didn't have another one to replace it. The fun thing is, Elise is a literature teacher and the poem a very well-known one, so she'll spot the error at once. *sigh*

Other than that I was at the dentist's today to have my teeth scaled. Fillings will follow in two weeks' time. Gah! On my way home I dropped into a specific craft shop because I've got a few gift cards that are only valid until December, but I didn't see anything I liked. Of course I still have some time, but I don't like leaving it till the last moment. More luck next time... hopefully.

Well, I didn't want to make scented candles or soap or tattoos or mosaics, so...

I'm not sure it's the right word of it. Online dictionary was unhelpful. Removing plaque perhaps?

Aw, we call it cleaning here. Cleaning your teeth means to have the plaque removed and then they are polished.

I thought cleaning was what you do with the toothbrush? *is confused*

Brushing your teeth - You use a brush and toothpaste to remove food particles. You clean them on a surface level. This does not remove stains or plaque buildup. It may slow it, but not prevent it.

Cleaning your teeth, A dentist uses picks, drills and other instruments to remove plaque and check for cavities, gum issues and the like.

Oh, I see. Different use of expressions then. In Hungarian "brushing" is also a slang word for... ehm... sexual activities, so we try to avoid it if possible. *g*

Hurrah for being able to go to the dentist!

You books really are little works of art, such lovely keepsakes.

Odd, the things one can be happy about at times, right? *g*

I'm glad you like my books. I'd love to make one for you, but I wouldn't dare to entrust it to the postal service.

I love the book (I have only looked at these last pages - I hope to get caught up tomorrow with your past posts:))

Ugh, dentist. A message was waiting on the phone for me to schedule my semi-annual cleaning which was cancelled by the dentist in April due to CV-19. Must do that tomorrow.

Have fun re-visiting the craft shop so you can use those gift cards! Maybe in a week or so some new items will come in that will catch your eye!

That's my hope, too. I regularly visit the shop with the gift cards in my pocket, just in case.

(Elwenlj) It's so frustrating when you have a gift card but can't find anything to spend it on. I usually resort to double sided sticky tape and glue when that happens. A paper crafter can never have too much sticky stuff.

Baby book turned out lovely. The dentist is a visit I will have to make soon, although Covid-19 makes the thought scary. I'm behind on all my Doctor checkups, I keep doing the cancel and re-schedule thing, procrastinating.

Yeah, it's the same with Mum (I avoid the doctors myself as long as I can do). Her appointment with the eye doctor has been postponed by several months!
