It was a quiet day. Quiet days are good. I like quiet days.

Not that I'd have been completely lazy. I made the basics for 3 new pencil holders (tin cans started to staple up in the study), finally finished the dratted translation that might actually result in some money (*) and made the salad and boiled the noodles for lunch, as Mum volunteered to make the chicken paprikash and we still had soup from yesterday.

I also had a nice talk on the phone with Monica, our choir director (from the main choir, not from the Oldies), cut out 12 little Christmas trees from leftover hard felt rests to use them somewhen in the future and wrote half a scene for Chapter 12 of "Magic Mirror". BTW, for those who're interested in the Merlin and/or the Camelot TV-series, the finished 11 chapters are all posted to the [livejournal.com profile] hiddenrealms community. Just sayin'...

So, that was my day. Excessive TV-marathon ahead, starting around 8pm. Dentist tomorrow. I think I needed a quiet day.

(*) The book itself has been translated for quite some time; I was just suffering with the dratted puzzle solutions that were printed in such tiny letters that they made my eyes water all the time.

** My internet provider is having a glitch - the server dealing with emails can't be reached. Just so that you know why I might not answer comments quite so fast. I wonder how long it will take them to find the error. At least the rest of the internet is functioning. It's fortunate that I don't expect any official mail; it would be coming to that address.

Doesn't sound like a bad day at all. I'd like one of those!

Yep, days like these are balm for the soul. Retirement does have its advantages.

If it is any consolation, I actually had to work 7 years longer than I had originally counted on. ;)

I've translated an activity book for teenage children from German into Hungarian. Basically, it is an adventure story where the reader has to solve various puzzles to find out where the story continues. The solutions are a bit problematic to translate into a different language, but I'm done with them. All I have to do is to type up the last two pages.

Computer and internet problems seem to be everywhere at the moment. (Elwenlj. Lj won't let me sign in.)

Do you think Covid-19 has switched to cyberspace?

Congrats on finishing your translations, that's an accomplishment in itself. Restful days are nice, I could use more of them myself.

You should make time for yourself. It's my experience that any work will wait for you patiently. *g*

Fortunately, it was a short-lived one.
