Yeah, I was busy. Not quite intentionally this busy, but the design I planned didn't work out with the craft paper I chose, so I had to adapt and ended up making 4 pages today instead of 2. It was a bit much, even for the creative mind - OTOH, there are only three more pages left, so it's actually good. Even if there were moments when I wanted to flush the whole thing down the toilet.

Anyway, these are pages 2&3 (as usual, click to enlarge):

The inscription on the right side says: This little girl is Heaven sent.

Pages 4&5 are basically identical, containing a 4-piece waterfall card. Only the inscription of the cards is different.

The inscription on the left-side card says, as we go down:
Dream big, little Girl!
Follow your dreams,
Dance with the stars,
Fly among the clouds.

The inscription on the right-side card says, as we go down:
Twinkle, twinkle, little star!
We are so glad that you are
With us now!
Welcome!

Pages 6&7 - I call these "Tea and Roses" because the tag in the right side corner pocket has a teacup on it, with the inscription "Sugar cube" on the bottom of the tag.

And finally (for today) Pages 8&9:
They are the mirror image of each other again.
The inscription on the left says: Princess of Hearts.
On the right: Grandma's littlest fairy (since this will be the third granddaughter of Elise)

Needless to say that I didn't have the energy to do much else today. Save for writing a page and a half for Chapter 11 of "Magic Mirror" and selecting a few small flasks that would be good for the spiced oil/vinegar stuff. Fortunately, we had leftovers, so no-one needed to cook.

The weather keeps being unpredictable. We've just had a copious shower (thankfully, with almost no leakage), but that doesn't mean by far that the spectacle is over for good. I'm really grateful that the horrid storms that hit various parts of the country didn't come our way... so far. *fingers crossed and prayers spoken that they'd keep away*

We just had a deluge ... and it's still raining ... Not what I expected of June!

I'm glad you were able to recover and adapt the design.

It wasn't easy, I tell you! And then, when I was almost done, I saw that somehow I got an oily spot on one of the tags - I probably touched my face, which I treat with argan oil twice a day - and I had to completely redo the tag. That alone took me almost an hour. *sigh*

Thanks, Linda. I'm trying very hard to make this one pretty, as Elise is one of the most likeable colleagues I ever had.

Thank you. It wasn't easy find the right ones; I never thought there are so many shades of pink, and some of them don't go with each other at all!

Not really - and not just because I'm an idiot when it comes to this online stuff. I make these things as personal gifts and for fun, that's all. I'm fortunate that I can live on my old age pension (Mum and I put our resources together and have a fairly comfortable life that way); crafting should remain an enjoyable pastime as long as possible. For the time being anyway.

My excuse is the Christmas charity fair. Of course, being a charity fair means that I don't make any money, personally, but it's great fun.

Those are beautiful. I really like the sentiments in the verses, too. No wonder you didn't have energy for much else after you had done all those.

Especially as I messed up quite a few things and had to redesign them. ;))

Haha, thanks! I was so relieved that I could do something a bit more traditional with this one.
