More time-stealing and other delights
Jun. 3rd, 2020 07:56 pmContinuing the saga from yesterday, I called the number I got yesterday in the Telekom phone shop (where they seemed unable to do the registration thingy). Guess what I got? An automated message that directed me to the same website where I failed to achieve anything yesterday. At least there they had the short info that registration has been postponed due to the Covid crisis. I think I might try the online registration tomorrow again. Perhaps inspiration will hit me upside the head and I actually manage to get it done. *sigh*
After that, a clerk of Vodafone called me and - after some difficulties - we managed to renew my TV and internet contract. I even managed to have the mobile phone option taken out of the package, which means I won't have to pay month for month for something I don't actually use. Of course, the first clerk couldn't do that right away, so I had to call Customer Service after we were done, but at least I could achieve my goal. Yay!
On a more positive note I've started Baby Book #3 and managed to get the base of the album done. It's just the bare bones of the thing, and I'll still have a great deal of preparation work to do (like all the page bases and the hidden binding and the likes), but I'm really glad that the basic structure turned out well enough. Now I've got something to build on.
I also did a lot of online research on Merlin, as I intend to continue Magic Mirror as my next month's
picowrimo project. Now I have a vague idea what the next couple of chapters will look like. I hope I'll be able to finish the vampire crossover by then. I'm trying very hard not to allow it to grow more chapters than originally intended, but we'll see.
As I've cooked today's mail yesterday already, I only had to put on the finishing touches. So I didn't spend much time in the kitchen, which is always a relief. I like cooking, but I like getting it done quickly, you know...
Oh, and one of my choir mates called an hour or so ago. We had a nice chat. That made my day.
