Today, I met E on the street to deliver the wedding card that's meant to go with our wedding present for A. We stood there with our masks on and had a lovely conversation of about 15 minutes, before we both had to go after other business. But it was wonderful, despite the circumstances.
Then I went to the Allee shopping centre (another fairly small one) because Mum wanted more Lindor chocolate balls. We still have some from Easter - we have them very sparsely, so that they will last - but Mum decided that we needed more. Therefore I went to their shop in the Allee centre and used the offer where you can take a cellophane bag and fill it with various sorts of chocolate balls. Since I managed to put more than 300 grams of them into my bag, I got them 15% cheaper. Go me!
I also visited the craft shop on the second floor and managed to buy some lovely patterned felt sheets. They weren't exactly cheap, but I still have some gift cards that I have to use up until December, so I treated myself to them. I also bought some lovely dotted white organza ribbon for the third baby book (the one for E's third grandkid) and a glass of matte white acrylic paint, since I had to learn the hard way that tempera paint won't work on cork.
I must admit that I did feel a bit uncomfortable, surrounded by so many people, even though they all wore masks and more or less kept the necessary distance. I'm almost glad I won't have to leave the house until Friday; and even then, I won't go any further than the next corner grocery.
