And I'm fairly happy with the results. It's titled "Our Little Prince", since it's made for a boy, and kept mostly in greens and dark blues as the mother asked me to avoid the stereotypical baby blue. It was also my first attempt to include a ribbon with which to close a book, and it worked, so I'm moderately proud. *g*

This is the cover:

If you open the book, this is what you see first. On the left side a 3-fold accordeon card,on the right side a flap that opens to the right:

Opening the flap on the right, you see a pocket for baby photos (left side) as well as a small booklet (right side) with the funny text some of you generous folk helped me to translate into correct English:

Opening the accordeon card, this is what you see on one side (in the middle part there is a pocket for more baby photos or perhaps tags I might or might not add later):

On the other side of the accordeon card you can see another pocket as well as a list for "firsts":

And finally the "It's a Boy!" announcement and baby statistics:

All in all, I kept the book fairly simple, as the young mother isn't much into the lace and frills and other such stuff. The second baby book will be of similar arrangement (although with different details), as the other mummy is fairly young, too. But when I make the baby book for E.'s new grandkid, I'll be able to go wild with embellishment. (She's the same colleague for whose granddaughters I made the Doll House quiet book).

Other than that, today was a day for leftovers again, and I finished typing up the whole dratted translation. Now all I need to do is to finish the extra booklet, where the solutions are for those unable to solve the puzzles on their own. That's a fairly boring part, but hopefully won't take too long. *fingers crossed*
