I've started making the first baby book for October; that is, I made the basic shape of it, which is always the most boring and work heavy part.

I used this tutorial by Rosa Kelly as a template, although mine won't be half this over-decorated when done. I've made baby books like this twice or three times already, so I'm fairly used to it by now. It is a good basic design, and one can change the embellishments any way one wants.

Today Mum volunteered to cook, making the world's most excellent Wiener Schnitzel with new potatoes. Yum! We had the lopsided cheesecake from yesterday for afters, so it was a proper Sunday meal.

Afterwards I had a long, lovely phone chat with a colleague; apparently, I'm getting over my phone phobia caused by the various official calls in the last two weeks. I'm relieved. It's hard to be in lockdown without outside contacts, and hearing a live voice helps so much.

Restrictions will be loosened somewhat from tomorrow on, but I'll have to remain very careful nonetheless, because of Mum. Still, I have to go and buy my monthly card tomorrow, as well as some craft supplies, assuming the Auchan supermarket has them. It will be an extra trip, outside of my grocery hunts, but I'm almost looking forward to it. The same time I'm also nervous because of the possible exposure, but some things have to be done.

I think I used Rosa Kelly't exploding box tutorial from a link from you:) I'm looking forward to seeing your next baby book!

Yum, what a delicious-sounding dinner! My mouth is watering.

Glad to hear you've recovered from the phone phobia! LOL But seriously, it really is nice to speak to people, isn't it.

What changes in restrictions will come tomorrow? I'm sure folks are happy about that, but it will be more important than ever to keep up the personal precautions.
We see so many people throwing caution to the wind here, and I hate to think what is waiting two weeks down the road from people spreading the virus without knowing it.

I'm afraid it will be the same here, although wearing masks on the buses and trams and in the shops will still be mandatory. But the shops will be allowed to return to normal opening times, and restaurants will reopen, I think, although with restrictions.

We've had the loosening of restrictions already 2 weeks ago but I have to admit I find some of it scary. Still!

Knowing how irresponsible many people can be, I'm actually frightened. Even if it will be good to find some of my favourite shops open. I'm in desperate need of organza ribbon, among other things. (I guess many would be glad to have my concerns...)

Here, many people refuse to wear masks even when it's required, and become rude and even violent when asked to comply. It's not good. Of course, the media fixates on this and doesn't balance it with a comment about the great majority in compliance, cooperating.

I don't know why people are so unreasonable. We have those over here, too.

Thanks. I actually found some organza ribbon in a half-forgotten cardboard box, so I didn't need to go too far into the city proper, which is fortunate if one wants to avoid the crowds.

The book holds a lot more than I would have thought, however, her description of "easy" seems misleading, it looks like a lot of work to me ;0) Looks great though.

We also are in phase 2 of the Covid protection plan, easing restrictions somewhat. Restaurants are open with limited capacity, some businesses and doctors offices are open. Masks and gloves are required in the workplace or where public gathers, although we have many who refuse to wear them stating it is a violation of their rights - sigh.

I stay home unless absolutely necessary, and suit up with mask and gloves when I have to go out. Also, since my husband is back working, we have a disinfect routine for the house. He follows another routine at his workplace. Perhaps, we go a bit overboard, but we both feel better safe than sorry.

It is always better to be safe than sorry! That's what I do, especially as Mum is particularly vulnerable.

As for the book, the basic design isn't particularly difficult. I usually leave out half of the embellishments, though. For me, scrapbooking is an art that tends to overdo the decoration.
