So, today was hunting day (=going to the grocery shops and the pharmacy) and, believe it or not, I ACTUALLY GOT YEAST! No, seriously! I greedily grabbed two five-piece packages, one of which went directly into the freezer, the other one into the regular fridge, as their best before margin is in July! Yessss! Now I have to look up some really yummy recipe I can try in the weekend, since I HAVE GOT YEAST! Yeah!

Isn't it hilarious how one's priorities change, even in the face of such a minor shortage?

Other than that, I managed to drop a 1.5 litre ginger ale bottle onto my big toe, which resulted in some intense pain for about a minute and one interestingly coloured toenail. It started with blue, went on to be purple, and I'm waiting for other colours to emerge. Fortunately, nothing is broken, no bones and no nails, and I'm not even in pain anymore, but it was a somewhat shocking experience.

Due to the early start, the walks and the carrying of things - not to mention the toe accident - I had several naps today and managed but a tiny bit of translating and two crossword puzzles. Oh, and several phone calls, three of them rather long. But for a day like that it's enough, I think. *g*

Indeed. It's all a question of priorities, after all!

Thanks! Considering that the Easter Bunny has brought me YEAST, it is very happy indeed!

Congratulations on buying yeast! In ordinary times, that would sound nonsensical:)

Ouch - I hope your toe is okay. If it doesn't hurt it should be ok, but icing it wouldn't hurt. Or a glass of wine:)

Sounds like a great day except for the toe incident!

All in all, it was a very successful day indeed. The toe no longer hurts, the nail doesn't seem to come off, either (*fingers crossed*), so the only health problem I'm still worrying about are my teeth. I hope there will still be something left of them by the time the dentist starts practicing again. *sigh*

Stupid teeth, they just had to wait until the lockdown to develop those holes!

Fortunately, it's much better today. If only my teeth could heal spontaneously on their own!

Thanks. At least the toe does heal on its own. The obnoxious teeth refuse to do the same.

Whoa, I hope you kept that toe nail!

And yeast, yayyyy! I want some, too, and bake. There's no occasion, but I could always freeze some cinnamon buns and eat them over time ...

Somehow I knew that you'd be fond of cinnamon. ;))

The toenail is doing well enough. Still purple in some places, but I think it will stay with me. *fingers crossed*
