As some of you have requested, below are pictures of the finished doll house quiet book. IMO I did a much worse binding job than with Theo's maritime book, but honestly, it isn't as crooked as it looks on the pictures. It's just too soft and I couldn't quite position it to make a better impression. :(

So, front cover on the left, back cover on the right:

This is what they looked like before the somewhat ruinous binding and trimming job:

And to compare the two binding jobs I've done, this is what Theo's finished quiet book looked like:

Other than finishing the book, I went a-hunting early in the morning (meaning: to the grocery shops). Next up will be some translating (before the official translating job, the one I'll actually get paid for) takes up all my time, and then making Topfenknödel for lunch and other domestic stuff.

I hope it was a successful hunt!
I just heard an interview with the owner of DM - he said people are buying less tp now and it should be back to normal by next week. Let's hope he's correct!

It's about time, yeah.

My hunt was successful, save for one item - apparently, yeast isn't to be found anywhere in this district.

That is just lovely - such an heirloom for him to keep for many, many, years to come.

Theo seemed rather impressed by his quiet book; especially by the fact that he could take things apart and put together again. I hope the girls, Lena and Viola, will be equally happy with their doll house.

Not as happy as I am, though, to have it finished. A few dolls' dresses and towel fringes and the likes still must be made, but those are just for fun. Then I can make the white Easter Bunny I promised myself as a reward. *g*

I think both are a success and the girls will love theirs just as much as Theo!

I certainly hope so, after all that (sometimes quite literal) pain those books cost me. *g*
