I wanted to import the last week's worth of LJ entries, and the site wouldn't let me log in. Mind you, I wasn't aware that I'd have been logged out, either. So I tried to change my password. The site won't let me, throwing error messages at me. So I got angry and opened a support request. So far, so good. Five minutes later, the site let me log in (with my old password), and my importing process is on the way. I mean, the site has veryfied my username/password and imported my Custom security groups (= friend groups), otherwise I'm waiting in the queue with the actual entries and comments.

What's going on? Granted, I only use DW as security backup for LJ, but if the backup fails, what am I supposed to do?

LJ's younger sister, Dreamwidth. Usually very reliable, too.

I thought it was my imagination when DW logged me out unexpectedly last week.

I did have minor problems with DW earlier (mostly the comments not getting imported), but never something like that!

That happens to me a lot. I can't stand the site.

I don't particularly like it, either, but having a backup is useful.
Perhaps it hates us, too, because we are loyal to LJ? *g*
