Because I've promised it to [livejournal.com profile] meathiel

From 2009 - I'm the second one in the first row on the far right. Recognizable by the enormous blouse collar. *g*

From 2011 - I'm the third one in the first row on the far right. The visuals are a bit horrid, but the blouse collar is always a dead give-away. *g*

Another one from 2009, from the same event. We gave a small concert in the National Gallery, and, as you can hear, the acoustics are fabulous there. I'm actually quite visible on this one, in the middle of the first row.

From 2014 - I'm the first one on the far right, in the first row.

Unfortunately, the newer stuff isn't posted anywhere where I can find it. But we sung the last one this year again, as the composer lady just turned 95.

Very good. My favorite was the National Gallery one, but the last one was cool too.

Sometimes we're joking that when Ms Szőnyi turns 100 in five years' time, we'll sing the last one for her again.

But yeah, you just can't beat the acoustics in the National Gallery. It's incredible to sing there. We might do it again at springtime. *fingers crossed*

Small wonder, though. We've been singing together for almost fifteen years by now, and many of us have sung in different choirs all their lives (including me) and/or had some sort of musical education (including me). I mean, I used to lead children's choirs in two of my previous workplaces. Granted, it was a long time ago, but still...

I greatly respect the Oldies for trying very hard and being very eager, though. And they are a nice bunch of people altogether.

That they have fun is the most important thing!

My thoughts exactly. Plus they have company, which is very important at advanced age.

Why are you wearing a different top than everyone else?

It sounds very lovely, too.

We're all wearing different kinds of white blouses. I'm just wearing s knitted dark vest over mine because I am more sensitive to the cold than the others.

I see, I didn't know if it had other significance. Thanks!

Nah, as you can see the big lady in the second row (third from left) is also wearing something dark over the white top, for the same reason.

I am so happy to be able to hear the choirs! Such beautiful voices, how joyful it must be to all sing together. Thank you so much for posting the videos, I could listen to them all day - lovely, lovely. Your main choir does sound more professional than the new one, but no less joyous, the fun and happiness shine through.

Very true. In the end, the joy of singing is what counts.
